Whatever Brains play Kings Barcade at Hopscotch 2011.
Next week I’ll be traveling to Raleigh, NC for the third annual Hopscotch Festival. I have been every year and it is one of the most fun festivals you can imagine. It’s co-curated by Pitchfork writer Grayson Currin, who has amazing taste in music. The lineup is filled with both hot new bands and the classics. All the venues are within walking distance of each other, the day parties are like fun surprises where you stumble upon free spicy chocolate donuts and great local bands, and then there’s the beer. As co-founder of an all-female craft beer group, I am in love with the local beer scene in the Triangle.
I might cover the fest for the blog—I will definitely tweet. I shoot film and there’s no way I will get the rolls developed and scanned for a timely recap (damn you school!) but maybe I will take some iPhone photos or have my talented husband throw me a few of his rejects.
